I find this work confused due to the incongruity of spatial relationships. The relatively immature handling of light perspective indicates a disregard for the basics of photography.
With regard to the issue of content, the disjunctive perturbation of the spatial relationships brings within the realm of discourse the distinctive formal juxtapositions.
I would refer to you a masterful book for helpful tips and tricks called, The Art of Photography by Bruce Barnbaum. Very good literature.
i’ve got a masters in fine art/photography and i’m in the permanent collections of Moma NYC and the J. Paul Getty in L.A.
i’m not a journalist photographer — i think magazine photography is shit. you need to really start thinking that we’re actually photographing ‘light’ and not ‘things’ — things are known to us by the light the emit or reflect.
i understand that you don’t have much experience in the art world, and maybe you’re someone who only wants to impress people with cool images — like a skateboarder photographing a puking drunk. that’s a fine kind of document imaging, a high-level xerox consciousness, but i left that behind in 1970.
